Deepdene Avenue, Westbourne Park

This lovely little Tudor was purchased along with the house next door & two properties on Cross Road for a 5000sqm multi-dwelling subdivision
The lemon scented gum out back was home to hundreds of birds the entire street enjoyed
The tree along the back fence line will come down for Stage 2 of the development
Developers do not employ arborists to take trees down – they are hacked down by excavating equipment
Timber floor boards, window, doors and architectural features were not salvaged, rather they were dumped into skip bins
Two full blocks in “leafy” Westbourne Park now completely devoid of greenery
The trees along the horizon all the way to the left of the photo (reaching Cross Road) will go for Stage 3
Note the trees in the real estate banner will be demolished for Stage 2 – this is the very definition of using the “borrowed value” of neighboring quality, leafy properties to sell new development infill
